She remembered that there was once a myth that salamanders could jump through fire and not get burned, but those were just what they were, weren't they? They were only myths. She would die in that fire.
The salamander decided to challenge the myth and threw herself over the flames. Her clothes caught fire and covered her whole body, making her squeal in surprise. She didn't feel much of the burning though except through small patches of skin that had been cut or scraped in previous months. She just sort of stood there over the ragdoll covered in fire that was now started to singe her hair a little.

Rush: You got it, dood! *sucks up half a pond of water til he expands into a water balloon*
Rush: *Bounces around the fire in front Amy*
Me: *Throws a rock at Rush's stomach*
Rush: *Explodes by spitting the water into a fountain, spraying all over the fire*
Rush: *Catches breath and coughs a little*
Me: You alright, buddy?
Rush: Yeah, I'm good. Plus, the fire's out. You okay, Amy?
