Quarentine

"I hate the summer. I've never said that to anyone, or at least I don't remember if I ever did... but the truth is that this is my least favorite season of the year, and I think that it's pretty obvious why, but besides my own personal problems there are other things that bother me: The fungus take away the beauty from my roses; I feel that angst that makes me want to keep an eye in my garden, my grave, my windows, my whole kingdom... my poor ladies!

I feel that kind of extremist worry in which I start to think that an epidemic might knock the door of my place and annihilate everyone, that any malignant bacteria could just take away everything that I know, and it have happened that some citizens have caught diseases in the past, yes, sometimes the cycle of life is cruel, but just the thought of losing everything can easily stress me, much more than any paperwork and numbers, because I can't control everything, I can't control each one of their cells on their bodies to asure me that they're completely sane, the only thing I can do is give them what they need and keep my main role, so I move around a lot during the day. Octavia gives me a certain count of all the citizens at the end of every month, but I caught a surprise this month: Viruses have infected some of them, my people. They're invading my kingdom with their filthy disease; those invisible bastards.

The kingdom is living a quarentine, one of many in which I've been a spectator with utter worry, an exterminator, and sometimes a murderer, but I only do what I have to do for the sake of the rest. Sacrifices are always sad, but I can't cry myself in front of them in the act; who else than me can give them the security that everything will be okay once again? Who else than the queen can bring peace to the families who lost their grandmothers? Who else than me can take their powerlessness and rage? No one else, is the only answer.

I hope that those rebels that throw their harsh words at me can understand one day."

A confession in the diary of Eternity in times of quarentine in the kingdom.

A bit of development;

The rose people have a weak system when it's about bacteria that affect plants, and in the summer increase the chances of being infected with diseases, the worse about this is that Eternity doesn't just worry because they're sick, because when a rose person is sick most of the time it means that they might die because of their delicate nature; also, it's hard for them to lose their hands when it's a severe case.

There are infections that are purely aesthetic and can be easily cured, but even so it's important to give an intensive prevention of care for everyone.
